Vintage Radio Station 2016 News Round UP
Hi there! We, at Vintage Radio, are seeking to recruit more members for our Community Radio Station of Distinction, based right here, in Birkenhead.
Vintage Radio provides a unique location and opportunity for people of all generations to use and display their talents in a relaxed convivial atmosphere - presenting and contributing to the station output. We want people who would like to help Devise, Create, Manage, and Produce Simple Entertainment Programmes and support others in this exciting world of broadcasting.
You can do this by just volunteering to read, write, talk, or listen, to the members of public, who want to send personal greetings, or have some music played, listen to Poetry, Drama. Or perhaps just exchange News, Views, maybe address some Topical Issues, possibly just Chat, and perhaps join in with some interesting and amusing but harmless light-hearted banter.
Vintage Radio is an amazing opportunity to reach out to others, who for whatever reason may not be able to get out as they once could. Vintage Radio could be their only link to the outside world, via the internet, through you and your talents.
Vintage Radio’s Volunteers, presenters for the most part as the name would suggest, belong mainly to the more mature generation. To be fair the average age is in the 50 plus bracket. Most of the Music Played is also from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, right up to the present generation. In fact, we play whatever you or any of the listeners request. That is of course is determined by YOU at the desk. We want the style of presentation to be such that the listener knows that the presenter is perhaps an enthusiast and is addressing them individually.
We aim that through the radio broadcasts to reach any isolated people - that they can learn about others in a similar situation - and perhaps have an opportunity to share taste in entertainment savour the programme output whatever that taste maybe. Your talents can help alleviate any sense of loneliness in our respective communities.
Vintage Radio publicises and attends many events and occasions of interest to the listeners, with presenters interviewing and chatting to all at these events. The conversations, after editing if required, are then broadcast during our programmes of topical events and public occasions.
Depending on circumstances, the conversations are broadcast live via the magic of the internet, and on the airwaves.
