Vintage Radio at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight
Vintage Radio are at the ‘Stay nifty after fifty’ event at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight on 23rd and 24th May 2012 as part of event organised by Wirral Old Peoples Parliament, the NHS and Wirral Council. The Mayor of the Wirral, Gerry Ellis along with his wife attended the event on the 23rd.
Mr Elis was interviewed by Ian Grant who is one of Vintage Radios top presenters. Ian was also representing ASDA's community programme who also had a stand at the event. Ians interview will be featured in one of the forthcoming Vintage Radio programmes.
‘Stay nifty after fifty’ is being organised by Wirral’s Older People’s Parliament in partnership with Age UK Wirral, the NHS and Wirral Council to showcase the opportunities available in the borough.
The free information and activity market will features a host of stalls related to issues such as staying fit and active, learning new skills, local transport and affordable heating. Beauty and therapy taster sessions, musical performances, tai chi workshops and volunteering opportunities are just some of the things that will be on offer.
Taking place on 23rd and 24th May at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, ‘Stay nifty after fifty’ follows the success of Wirral’s first major over 50s event, which was held last year at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.
