The Writers Show
There were no Writers' Shows during the Covid lockdown.
Shows now feature just one or two writers per show.
The "Writers' Shows", broadcast live on alternate Wednesdays from 2.00-3.00pm, see several writers in the studio reading out their own compositions in prose or verse, with brief musical interludes. The groups so far entertaining us there have been from Heswall, Hoylake and Liverpool (The "Inklings").
A "Story Of The Week" is taken from each show and posted on the Vintage Radio website as a podcast. This can still be heard at any time.
The shows are repeated on Sundays at 5.00pm.
The next one will feature some of the Heswall Writers on 7th October 2020.
Once a month, after the Writers, (3.00-4.00pm), Paul Regan, of the Birkenhead Blind and Visually Impaired Society, sometimes presents a "Trackback" show of the events and music of a particular year. The next one will be on 21st October.
The other Wednesdays at this time (2.00-4.00pm) feature the Chester Poets' "Poetry Roundup".
